Cobleskill (Schoharie County): Clinton D. Nethaway, Jr. 81, formerly of Campus Court in Cobleskill died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Nethaway was born November 9, 1928 in Cobleskill, a son of Clinton D. and Daisy (Mead) Nethaway, Sr. He lived in Cobleskill most of his life before moving to Glens Falls in 1999.
He was a 1946 graduate of the former Cobleskill High School and later, received his nurses’ training as an LPN. He worked as various locations as an LPN including Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill and Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady retiring many years ago.
Mr. Nethaway was a life member of the National Association of Practical Nurse Education and Service and a life member of the Schoharie County Historical Society. He moved to Queensbury in 1999. In recent years, he was a member of the Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church in Queensbury.
Survivors include one sister, Mabel LeRuzic of Cobleskill, 3 nephews and 1 niece, Clinton D. Traver of Queensbury, Helen Reynolds of Harrod, OH, Mark Traver of Schoharie and George Traver of East Worcester and several grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 8th at 7:00 PM at the Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church, 548 Luzerne Rd., Queesbury with interment in the Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Clinton to the Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church, 548 Luzerne Rd, Queensbury, NY 12804-9444. The Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill and Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie and Central Bridge are assisting the family with arrangements.
