Schoharie (Schoharie County): Phyllis A. Delligan 69, of Sunnyside Road died Wednesday, July 21st at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Phyllis was born March 29, 1941 in Schoharie a daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Borst) Bender. She had lived on Sunnyside Road since 1984 having previously lived in Gallupville. Phyllis attended Schoharie School and was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, cooking and family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband William “Diller” Delligan whom she married August 30, 1958, two daughters Kathy (Dee) Meese of Schoharie and Shelly Cook of Gallupville, one sister Leah Scrimma of Schoharie, one brother Sidney Bender of Schoharie, 3 grandchildren Joshua Cook, Joseph “Jody” Meese and Erin Cook, one great-grandson Logan Joshua Cook along with several close nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Elsie Kennedy and four brothers Edward, Richard, Robert and Gary Bender.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 23rd at the Sodom Cemetery, Sunnyside Road Schoharie. There will be no calling hours.
